My name is Guðmundur Felixson. I’m an Icelandic director, improviser, actor, theatre maker and more.
I graduated from the Iceland University of Arts in 2015 with a B.A. in Performing Arts. Since then I’ve mainly focused on comedy. I perform improv every week and regularly teach it. Along with a few of my improv friends I started the sketch group Kanarí in 2018. The artistic mission of Kanarí is to make funny sketches, it’s as simple as that. Kanarí has had two sketch series on RÚV, the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service, as well as two sketch shows for stage.
I mostly work in the independent theatre scene in Iceland. I’ve had a wide variety of roles in various independent theatre groups, I’ve directed children’s plays, operated the tech for various shows and performed in a devised play about anxiety.
My partner, Þuríður Blær, is an actress and we have a 3 year old son, Arnaldur Snær and a cat named Nóra.
